My childhood and young adulthood in Washington state were filled with extreme trauma. I am a survivor of satanic ritual abuse (SRA), familial trafficking, incest, and physical and emotional abuse. My healing began when I was finally able to leave my childhood home in my mid-20s. Years later, when my husband and I moved to Arizona, repressed memories of the abuse fully surfaced and my healing began in earnest.

My memoir, Flying to Healing: Healing from Ritual Abuse Through My Life’s Work and Flight, is about how my life’s work and becoming a pilot helped me heal from the abuse. I wrote my book to not only shine light on SRA, but to show that regardless of the scars we survivors carry, we can find purpose, fulfillment, and joy in life. To learn more about my story, Flying to Freedom can be found here:

Writing my book has ignited a desire within me to share more knowledge, my experiences, and connect with others who also have a history of abuse. I channeled this desire into the creation of this website.

Soaring to Healing provides a nurturing community for survivors of all types of trauma, their loved ones, and practitioners.

In this website, survivors can find a safe place to share their stories, meet other survivors and practitioners, and find healing resources.

Cultivating connections, becoming educated about the abuse that was endured, and sharing our experiences with others is the light that overcomes the darkness of abuse.

I felt a strong need to provide education about satanic and other forms of ritual abuse for those that work with survivors, and survivor’s loved ones. Unlike sex trafficking, which is becoming more widely talked about, satanic ritual abuse is not understood and kept in the dark. The general public has a difficult time wrapping their minds around the atrocities that are involved with it, and for this reason, it is often denied or even made fun of. In my experience, the majority of therapists are not schooled in this topic.

I have always found solace in nature. Connecting to nature’s beauty has been a source of healing for me when other parts of my life were not beautiful. I am an amateur photographer, and my photography is included throughout this website. I hope everyone finds peace and healing in the images that I have shared.

I am excited to connect with other survivors and practitioners, and to watch our community soar.

With gratitude, Juliana
